Dice #2

Project by Riccardom posted 182 days ago 336 views 0 times favorited 8 comments Add to Favorites Watch

Another dice for my brother’s collection.
I took some time to design with SketchUp.
Made of of a kind of oak (rovere) that i found traslated in durmast.
If someone can tell me the english name I would appreciate it.
The dots are made of mansonia walnut.
This time I used power tools to cut and plane the pieces and a lathe for the dots.
Finished with opaque varnish.

Bye
Riccardo

Great job Riccardo. You have done two original projects for your brother. The first one said that the inside was empty but this one looks as if there are pieces that may support the structure of the dice? Does the dice stay together without glue so it can be taken apart and put back together at parties and such? Very cool either way. I can’t speak Italian so I can’t help with the wood types.

Yes, you can dismantle it and use like a puzzle, quite simple but nice if you haven’t seen it completed.

Mind boggling.
