Basement Refinishing

Redid our basement in 2003. Even though it was a basement, I put in solid core doors and wood trim. I kept it simple, but I thought it turned out pretty well.

The window lifts up and into the laundry room, and there is a folding counter on the other side. I designed it so that if you were in the laundry room you wouldn’t feel isolated, but also so that we could turn that counter/window combination into a bar during parties :-)

(The two photos are taken from almost the same spot, looking in opposite directions, but at different times… so the furniture is removed in the second shot.)
