This is a plaque i made for my grandparent’s home, they lived (as far as i Understood) in a community where every house had a name and their houses name was contentment so they designed this plaque with the name in both English and Sanskrit and their religious ohm? in the background.
This plaque was made out of purple heart with turquoise inlaid letters and malachite inlaid ohm in the background. This project was made long enough ago that I’m not 100% but I also believe it had a over thick urethane finish and no holes/method to hang it so I don’t even know if it got hung…. O’well it was a fun learning experience.

Looks like contentment to me!
Nice choice of materials.

I want to try the inlay method you did in the near future.

That’s a nice sign and I bet it meant a lot to them.
