Leopard

Project by Bob Collins posted 180 days ago 420 views 0 times favorited 17 comments Add to Favorites Watch

This is the third of the Wild Cats series I am carving. These are enjoyable to carve, start with plenty of wood and mistakes can be carved out until you run out of wood or get it right. I think I am improving with each one. Have included the first two for those who may have missed them, they are Tiger and Snow Leopard.

They look pretty good to me. Looks like a lot of wood left too ;-)) Beautiful work. How many will there be?

I agree with the others that they’re all great, but I like the leopard the best, mainly because you did such a good job bringing the eyes to life. I’m looking forward to the rest.

Thanks to all above for your comments and encouragement. So many big cats that I may have created a monster for myself but Lions sound good for the next project. First some cosmetic surgery on the first two, a bit of botox around the eyes on the Tiger and as there is a lot of wood on the Snow Leopard a complete make over.
I agree with you that this is the best, I should stop while in front. Great site, great members. Thanks again.
