This is a cherry side table similar to a project I found in Fine Woodworking from a few years ago. The table was a fun build and I was able to work on a few new tricks like sliding dovetails in a round base. Challenging but fun. The table is finished with light golden oak dye then burnt umber glaze and three coats of satin lacquer. I built the table for the next project I’m working on a cherry lamp that will sit on the table. Wish me luck.

Nice work Micheal. The finish looks great with the cherry. Good luck with the lamp, looking forward to seeing it.

Exceptional build, Michael, and the finish is flawless! I would love for you to share your lessons learned (a few new tricks) on the sliding dovetails.

Beautiful Shaker table, very nice work, great job. You can’t beat Shaker or cherry for beauty.
