This is another Alder hood with black raised panels similiar to another I did a while back. This hood is only 3 sided instead of 4 and hangs on the wall over the range. This hood measuers about 24” deep X 52” wide and is a little over 6’ tall. The trim was all laid out first so we could get the sizes of the panels. The panels were then cut and the ran through the router. The trim was put on and finished separate of the panels.

After everything was finished we then installed the finished panels. At least this one did not end up as heavy as the first one I built that was 4 sided.

All critiques and comments are appreciated.

No patron. No sheet metal or insulation board. The hood liner and controls fit in bottom section and pipe goes up through the ceiling.

Thought you were a novice? Beautiful!!! Some complicated looking angles and joints there. That alone would be a major project for me. Thanks….........

is heat, fire, combustion a concern being so close to your work of art?
