Everyone that has used a camelbag knows how hard it is to clean it and if you don’t you water quickly gets a bad taste.

Having say that, I feel ashamed to call a project a piece of reclaimed cherry (finish test board from a previous project) with a 3/8” dowel in it….

But the wife seems to find it useful so mission (project ?) accomplished !

Finish is shellac and a coat of poly for water resistance (hopefully).

Thanks for looking

If it does it’s job then it is a project well done! Seems as if once you become a wood worker you only think in wood to fix any problem. Car needs brakes? Make em’ outta wood! Baby needs a pacifier? I’m thinking cherry!

I’m sorry but I don’t have a clue what a camelbag is.

Sorry for the lack of explanations, a camelbag is actually a plastic holder for water. It usually goes into a back pack and with the help of a tube, you can drink while paddling, running, biking,....

Due to the shape and nature of the design of the plastic bag it seems impossible to make it dry correctly after washing/rinsing it. Let’s see it this works !

Im with aq1 Jim. what the heck is a camelbag, Ive had feral camels poke a head into the tent in outback OZ on a camping trip down under, but never looked for the bags.

That is what a camel sleeps in when they are allowed in the tent, Like a sleeping bag for a camel and made out of plastic so it is water proof in case the camel should wet him or her self .

Good idea. Waste of cherry though.

Leave it to Larry to come up with this description… LOL
I think I’ll make two with five dowels each so the Mrs. can dry out her household rubber gloves…thanks for the inspiration : )
