Nice box. Like the color. Is it stained or what wood is it?

The heart box is cool too.

Keep it up.

The blue is striking against the Poplar,, I do not really know much about poplar ,, don’t grow over here, but I like it all the same. ‘False’ drawer front is cool design idea. ?why the brace inside the lid?

I too noticed that the blue lining was an exceptional choice. The Poplar looks like it worked very well for you. Scrappy noticed that it looks a little dark for Poplar, what shade of stain did you use? You did a nice job of darkening it just a little without going all the way to a provincial brown.

Well done!

Very nice. Did you use Flocking for the blue?

Thank you all for the kind comments.

I did not use flocking it was felt I bought on line and glued and cut it to fit.

I used an Early American and some jacobean to get it to get that dark. The worst thing about popular is the green and yellow streaks it get.

The brace on the top is so she can put photos or letters there.
