Made this for the neighbor’s child.

Not much of a woodworking project. Walnut, Cherry and Maple. Finished the darker woods with gloss water based poly. The bear has no finish. Details painted with food safe acrylic.

Nice! Maybe not much to you, but the kid will love it, and the family will treasure it.

Not much of a project?

Looks like book matched background, Mitered frame, Scroll work puzzle, Painting and staining, Not to mention great functional design.

Looks like a great project for the Child to enjoy for years, and bee handed down through the generations.

Never sell yourself short. Great job.

This has stayed on my mind. Was thinking if you know before hand who the gift is for, you could see what favorite toy or character the child might favor and custom the design. Then after they are through with it they can hang it on the wall for memories. Anyway…...............

Jack,

Great Idea!!

I hadn’t thought of hanging it on the wall- great!! I did customize it slightly to make it more feminine- the child is a girl. She does love stuffed toys and I thought this resembled a stuffed bear. Any animal could be substituted for the child’s favorite.
