My mom teaches her horse tricks, and she wanted a step that he could stand on. The design is from some magazine she has. It was a good project that taught me a lot about using a table saw.
It also taught me that legs that are 4×4 posts will inevitably be cut down by a hand saw. The top is made up of two laminates, one that sits wedged inside the skirts, and one that is placed on top of them.
Plywood, glue, and love.

Knoxy, I’m guessing that is a really sturdy step to hold the weight of a horse. There’s nothing wrong with using a hand saw. I love using mine every chance I get.

A great project. Nice job on a sturdy built stool.
