Speedy was made for my grandson. Seems like he is the target for most of my projects. This was the most fun I’ve had for awhile in the shop. Speedy’s head and tail goes up and down as he rolls along making a small wood on wood click. I will throw some paint on Speedy when the mood strikes me.

Thanks for looking.

That is a very nice toy. You ought to paint it. Congratulations.

Well OK I admit some paint would be helpful. Dick, it is supposed to be a turtle. But I guess it can be a “Whatever”.

my first thought was ‘turtle’
but you know how kids are, none the less – pretty neat, we both know he’ll love it

A Turtle gets my vote, and a very nice simple project to boot.
I would have rolled it around when I finished it, just to test it of course!!
A good example of how to achieve a Top Three status.

Thanks guys. Of course I “tested it”.
I think it would be cool if I could make the head go in and out as it rolls. Still working on that.

Turtle, dinosaur, or whatever he sees. Heck, depending on the little guy’s age, he may just call it a “Moo cow”! So long as he’s happy, it dont matter, does it? LOL

No Steve I didn’t have any plans. You may be able to find something on line though. Most of the fun I had was experimenting with the cam wheel and its placement. I suggest just go wing it.

Have your say...
