A new design of mine for my latest lamp…turned out GREAT…I never know when designing something new how it will look in wood….this one is a KNOCKOUT!!! Bloodwood is fantastic to work with…yes extremely hard, but patience is paid off at the end…the finish makes this piece glow!!! 21 rings glued together, sanded and shaped by hand, NO TURNING INVOLVED…the grain pattern is really wierd..thanks for looking….comments welcome…kineo

Spectacular! I’m very impressed that you made this piece by hand and not on a lathe. I love Bloodwood. You are right, it is hard and not easy to work with at times but the payoff when it shines for you is huge.

That does look great.
Why don’t you do a blog on how you used the ring master to make it.
I just bought a used one the other day and would appreciate seeing how things are done with it.
It would give me a great head start in using it.

Excellent result Kineo. Amazing the way you do them without traditional turning.
