This is a box joint jig I made a few weeks ago. I’ve never used box joints so I thought I would give it a try. After seeing others on LJ’s, I think I made it overly complicated. I designed after the one at Rockler. It’s not pretty, but It does seem to work well.

If it works, that’s all that matters. Looks to be very functional.

I use a jig to cut box joints on my TS. Compared to my jig, yours is a beauty queen. But as Cabinetmaster said: “if it works…

Thanks a lot LJ’s. Yes Bureaucrat, I would have to agree with Cabinetmaster, working is the important thing.

clean work.
Good thing about this type of jig is as long as your router bit and the guide strip match in size, you can do different size joints and not just standard.

It looks like you have an oversized opening just to the right of the Control Peg…
Why?
I’m not familair with the Rockler design.

Thanks again for the kind words LJ’s. Joe- the opening is from the 1/2” upspiral bit I used when making the knothead box. The opening is in the sacrificial fence. Here is a link to the Rockler jig.
