This was my first attempt at “upholstery”....the top has a 24” x 24” pad and i basically built the Ottoman around the pad. I made this for my grandfather after he had his hip replaced. It definately went to good use although i had no idea how much padding, batting and “leather substitute” cost at a national fabric store. I made it about 5 years ago and these pictures were just taken so it’s holding up pretty well. If memory serves this was the first thing i built with my kreg jig.

I always see this type of project as a balancing act. It has to serve the intended purpose, it has to hold up over time, it has to look nice and it has to be able to be moved around often. Looks like you achieved all of those. Nice job!
