These were gifts for my son’s first birthday.

The cars are based on some designs I found online from a Korean company. They are great for little hands, and I think the van looks pretty cool. I did the wheels with a hole saw and would probably just buy some in the future or turn them on the lathe to avoid the end grain. Walnut, cherry, and maple scraps, finished with shellac.

The blocks are pine 1x, white wood 2×4, and a poplar closet rod from the home store, spray painted and waxed.

He seems to like them.

Great idea. Like the design of the cars. Concerned about a toddler falling on the triangular car. Just my thoughts

Hello, glad to see you making toys. There is more to toy making than most think, I have been doing toys for over 16 years now and never seem to be able to make enough to keep any in stock, which is a good thing. Hope you continue on and may your children benefit from your love for wood. Clarkie.

Neat!

I make toys too!

Making them is fun.

Neat designs and “NO CLONES” Great!

Making your on wheels is more “real” to me!

Bosch has some new style holesaws that are great! I test drove some at a B-ToolTour Stop.
