these doors were built for a show that the ’ california redwood association ‘
gave me years ago to thank me for the use and promotion of redwood in it’s natural state , not painted .
we are renoveting her son and familys 200 year old cabin , this trip the miracle is that neither one of us
fell off the second story 45 deg . roof that we were propaneling .
i got to access this site at times on spongebob squarepants computer at times ,
so couldn’t do much then .
now i’m back , and after some rest and some waiting work here , will make some boxes and show you how it’s done .
, i have been in new hampshire working for 2 weeks with ’ margy ’ ( also lumberjock , and my ex )
thanks for your patience !

Hey David
Those are some of the coolest doors I’ve seen. Only young guys like you should go up those 12/12 roofs. Good Job Bud

Wow, they were smart to ask you for their display. Great doors! Thanks…........

a shape or a proportion ?
that one is cut like tumbling bloks , but on a pivot jig on bandsaw .stock must be straight for good fit .
flip-flop every other one

would be interesting to see the jig and the process. it looks like the jig is not centered or is it just optical illusion?

thanks again to all for the comments .
i really love this site . it’s nice to finally get to be with fellow woodworkers and artist/craftsmen ,
so much of our work just seems to dissapear into the void of this instant world around us , that you wonder if
you even make a dent .
the feedback here is so rewarding and the opportunity to share with people that understand and are inspired
make the journey so much more rewarding .
God bless and stay safe
