5 or so inch bowl in Hackberry.
This is technically my third bowl, but since my second one had the bottom blow out before I finished, I’m calling this my second!
I turned the outside, creating a dovetail on the bottom (not really visible in the pics) then chucked that into the pinnacle chuck, then turned the inside. It actually worked great, except the pinnacle jaws did kind of bite into the dovetail a bit. I’ll have to work on my lineup.

Nice bowl. Clean lines inside. Do you have a pic of the outside of the bowl?

Nice wood grain. What size bowl gouge did you use on the inside?

Nice job Jon.
Dosen’t this stuff just make you and addict?
p.s. try running a patch on the bowl you blew thru.
Sometimes you get a surprise with the effect you can create.

Crown Ellsworth Signature Bowl Gouge 1/2”.
I kind of like keeping the bowl with the hole around. It makes for fun jokes, and it works well for holding roundish objects in the shop. =)

Interesting, Jon. My first bowl looks very similar.
Nice work!
