I don’t think this is a real wood project since it was made out of laminated particle board from HD. SWMBO wanted a display case (really just a bookcase) in her new sewing room for her quilt fabric. Of course I wanted to make a very fancy case but I only had a short time to make this, just got back from a business trip over the weekend and am leaving for another trip on Friday. So we agreed on a simple design, she likes the melamine (smoother for her fabrics) so I picked up the necessary parts from HD. I cut them to size, drilled 3 shelf holes for each shelf, the second shelf from the bottom is pocket hole screwed to each side, and I made the base and top assemblies using pocket hole joinery. The back is 1/4” thick white hardboard. Nothing fancy but it serves it’s purpose well and only took a few hours to complete.

That will do the trick. I’m not sure that my wife would let it empty long enough for me to take a picture of the completed project. If I had wood like she has fat quarters I couldn’t get in my shop. Wait, maybe I do have that much wood.
