Project Description
Building these stoppers have been a lot of fun for me. Each design element allows for a number of alternatives by using different species of wood or in this case reversing the design pattern of stopper #5. Considering that each stopper takes 3+ hours to build and turn, I enjoy knowing that no two are the same.

Stopper Stats:
  • Total pieces: 121
  • Primary wood: Jatoba (Brazilian Cherry)
  • Secondary wood: Red Leaf Maple
  • Cap: Sapele
  • Dimensions: 2-1/8” tall, 1” diameter
  • Finish: CA/BLO

Other segmented wine bottle stoppers I have created and posted here at Lumberjocks

i but my hardware at Craft Supplies USA.

I use the stainless steel as I’ve heard the chrome plating can flake off…
