Well this is my first try at carving I have been doing a little wood working on and off the last couple of years turning a few duck calls and building a few tables , finally decided to try my hand at carving. I am pretty happy with the results and have since replaced my old harbour freight rotary tool with a dremel 9100. Paint was done with an airbrush also my first time using one of these. Let me know any thoughts good or bad for improvement going forward.

Very nice work. The colors of a bull dolphin are so vibrant and hard to reproduce but you have done as good as any I’ve seen. Keep up the good work and welcome to Lumberjocks.

Carving is a lot of fun. You did fine for your first carving and it sounds like you had a lot of fun. The most important thing that you need to do now is to stick with it and do some more carving. The best way to learn how to carve well is to carve. Keep up the good work.
