Bread boards made from walnut, maple, purple heart, yellow heart, bloodwood and possible some other scraps, finished w/ Howards cutting board oil. Bread bow knifes from yellow heart, walnut, maple and cherry, finished w/ BLO and the cherry one has some poly. Next round I plan to make multi wood bread goes like fellow LBJs. I gained some inspiration from Lou and Jeff robinson post. The hardest part was learning how to get the blade tight enough. The key is to use a clamp to cause the wood to flex and then drill and attach the blade. Caution I did break two in the process. Blades and blade safety covers purchased from amazon. Thanks to all the fellow woodworkers for posting such great projects to inspire me and provide plenty of ideas.

Nice looking spread, I make bread boards and sell at shows. My last show a guy was selling the knives too and I was dumb not to make them with mine. I bought the blades from ken craft and man are they sharp, of course they didn’t come with the blade guards and had to order them after the fact. Hopefully kids don’t come in and play with them like they do with EVERYTHING else, at my show this weekend.
