Both inspired by the Scott Lewis cutting boards from the 2013 FWW. One is spalted Maple, the other is Maple and Walnut. Both sold within minutes of posting them online for sale… Time to bang out some more!
Matt,
I thought about an Etsy store, but haven't yet, maybe in the future. I posted them on Facebook and Instagram and they went fast, and I have a waiting list now. Glued up 5 boards tonight and I'm Out of big boy clamps until tomorrow.
We just started an Etsy store after some prodding by my daughter. It's starting slowly and she posts things on Instagram, FaceBook, and Pinterest. I'm actually glad it's staring slowly because I don't have much shop time until later in the year. I assume that you are a chef as your tagline reads, so cutting boards seem like they'd go over pretty well with your circle of friends/followers. Good luck with it, and if I have any success on Etsy, I'll be sure to blog about it. We did just ship a piece to Paris, and one to Italy which is a pretty neat feeling.

Matt,
I'd be very interested to know how it goes for you. The only thing I am worried about is having to actually setup a business and pay taxes, etc. any advice is greatly appreciated. I have some interest from a local business to sell boards there also…
