It seems like everybody is showing work they’ve done on cabinet doors lately.
I’d like to show you these doors I made 20 years ago in 1986.
We had a little corner in our bathroom right next to the door, so I filled in the space with a linen cabinet. Then I decided why not try some carvings on the door panels. Even after 20 years they’re still looking good. They can also be seen from our living room when the bathroom door is open.
The raised panels of Red Oak were done with a Safe-T- Planer attachment on my old radial arm saw.
The birds are, Chickadee, Woodpecker, Blue jay, & a Warbler.
The finish is Watco Danish Oil Walnut.

Speaking as someone who has carved in Oak before, this is great work, and timeless.
