This is my new workbench! I made this at my school, it’s made from hard maple and the stripe is walnut. Trestles and undercarriage were joined by mortise and tenon and then wedged. End vise assembly was a little tricky but works beautifully. Very proud to have this in my garage.

That is an awesome looking bench. Being hard maple, it should last you a lifetime. Good work.

Maple, the best material for a workbench, and the quality of your workmanship is something to be proud of.

Its beautiful – like a piece of fine furniture beautiful. I’d be scared to death to put anything on it. Very nicely done!

That is a great workbench. It will add so much to your shop.

Very nice bench! Love the crisp edges and joinery. How did you attach the top to the base?

Hey chuck, I attached the top via 4 lag bolts drilled through the undercarriage. I plan on building some drawers to store some tools. Ill update this post with pictures when i finish.
