i made this headboard about a year and a half ago, i used the logs from downded cedar , from a storm and took more of it the the mill and had the boards milled , it is made with mortise and tenon joints and the carvings awere done with a router, the fur skins with the moose and grizzly drawing were done by my sister in wyoming, and if you look at the bears on the headboard, they are approaching a cave opening, and since i sleep on the left side facing the bed that bear is closer to the den, as i spend more time in bed then my wife…as i have bad back problems and am unable to sit…so this is truley the grizzmans lair and it is a king size bed..it was great fun doing this project…i also placed a cedar board on the top that had the sap wood there to make it look like snow capped mountains…..grizzman.

Amazing how creative you are in the bedroom. Funnin aside very nice look!
Sorry to hear your back is still an issue. When I’m down with mine it usually means a few flexerils and sleeping on the floor with my legs up and on a dining room chair for a few days. I can’t go near my soft bed.
