The bed is made of cherry. I loved the sapwood contrast, so took advantage of it in the headboard.

Beautiful!!

I, too, really like the use of heart wood and sap wood contrasts.

looks great, I love the warm look of cherry. and that pattern in the headboard looks gorgeous.
