Here is two mesquite dining chairs just completed. They will be going to a good customer in Colorado this weekend. Also found a decent gallery near Aspen to put some pieces so this will be a good trip to CO.This chair I think is my most comfortable chair next to the rocker it has a good lumbar support to it.The spindles are made from maple and there is desert ironwood accent plugs. The Mesquite is a little tough to work with but the end result is worth it.
Thanks for looking !!
Check out our gorgeous rocking chairs

Those are beautiful. They look comfortable, plus you just want to touch the wood and curves. Super!

Scott – Your work is always amazing. The first chair I made took 3 months and about 6 prototypes – did it go like that for you when coming up with this design? – Do you use about a million jigs or are you fitting each one?
(sorry – chairs facinate me! – especially ones of such quality).

Schroeder-The first definitly takes a while I’m doing a new chair now I usually do a full size drawing on cardboard then go to the wood with a proto type sometimes I can nail it first try pretty close and just tweek it as a make the next one. These chairs I think I have made at least 5 changes and now I’m fealing good about the feal and look.I hate making jigs but I do have a standard one for the seat joints that I use for all the chairs I do.Other than that when I get a design down I make sure to do templates on every piece and make notes on how I did that.I used to make something sell it, then say- How did I do that???

WOW Scott, really nice work. I love the shape and sweep of the arms on the chairs. Do you have anything in Santa Fe?

The chairs are really, really good.
And I have to agree with your comment regarding Mesquite. But it is such a wonderful looking wood when done. Also has a great feel.
