second comision custom entetainment center with glass doors I built them like rail and still and broko one in the glue up what an idiot!!!)built to fit. electric fire place and tv, poplar and birch ply, all custom molding. I’t was really scary becase I built it in two pieces upper and lowe and never put it together till on sight (my shop has a 6’6” ceilling take plumbing and lighting) first piece of inside furniture, second ground up no plans project, fifth project material $ 450 time 180 hours plus 100hours redooing finsh took it as an experience builder knew I could do it and they where thrilled.
finish was mahoganny paste stain followed with a sealer then walnut, then polyuratrhane. I got great advice from Tom Landon he answered a question I posted with a Im of just give me a call and the whole break down I just wish I had listened as I disobeyed his clear coat orders and found my self scraping of poly for hours at midnight and refinishing the day after delivery

profit$ a 12 pack and a life long customer I hope.
A joy to build and would take another tommorrow

Great project.
I’m just guessing that you used thin ply for the panel….oop! there is no panel.
Was it the client’s idea? I meant the deisign..!

Jay, this is a really nice entertainment center. It has a nice design to it and you did a good job on the finish.

The thing I find most difficult about large projects is that I am anxious to see the final project and it takes sooo long. Very nicely done!
