I searched for a long time for trellis design ideas. I came up with this one after I saw a few resin whiskey/wine barrels on sale at my local Costco. The wood was primed and painted white and all the joints are nice and tight. I welded up the custom metal lattice work because I did not think an ordinary wood or plastic one would look nice enough. I’m letting the metal rust and it adds to the overall design. The flowers and vines are really taking off with minimal watering in this California heat. Hope this sparks some ideas for some your next outdoor project!

really nice and I love the mixed materials… I got a welder about 6 months ago and had not welded for 20 years and wow I forgot how much fun it is… working with metal is such a joy in it own way

WE are all inspired by this great combination! Everything worked well. Even the colors of the flowers are a nice addition!

Great looking trellis! I like the wood and metal combo—should look great after it gets a little rain!
