This was a departure for me, as it was my first premium pen kit. It’s a Majestic Jr. Black TN/Platinum Rollerball. I was unsure of the wood, but guys on the IAP helped me figure that it is most likely Jatoba (Brazilian Cherry). It’s finished in 8 or 10 coats of BLO/CA, MMed to 12000, then hit with the buffing wheels. My pics don’t do it justice, but this is by far my best work to date. I am very proud of this one. More importantly, Mom loves it. I’ve spoiled her, by giving her some kind of Swarovski crystal every Mother’s Day for about a decade now, and the Majestic Jr. even has a Swarovki crystal in the clip!
As always, all comments and critiques are welcome.
Thanks for looking,
Sef

Outstanding work. I love those Majestic kits, though they are a bit pricey. They have great weight and write beautifully. Excellent work, especially on the finish. It gleams!

Thanks guys. The responses I’ve gotten from the pen have emboldened me. I have another Jr. to do, and a Majestic rb and fb set to do for myself. Hopefully I get to take the plunge this weekend.

Thanks Mark. One of the hardest parts seems to be picking the right blank to match the platings. Most times I run the match by a nearby female before I start cutting. :)
