Small box mahogany top with double bevel marquetry,(first time)I think it came out pretty well.Plan on doing this more often,maybe my wife will let me spring for a better scroll saw

a very special box with nice details I especially like the leaf inlay and Asian feel to the box

Very cool inlay box. Me too like the leaf inlay.
Tell her you can make better inlays with better scroll saw..!

Very nice looking piece. Where did you get the marquetry instruction? (Book, Video, Internet) I’ve always wanted to try this but have yet to find instructions that my pea sized brain can swallow.

Homers,I took a class with David J. Marks at our Woodcraft store.A lot of information in a little time.So far I’ve taken 5 classes with David and enjoyed every one of them .Thanks everyone for all your comments.

cessna pilot,I made the coves on my table saw,ran it over the blade at an angle and raised the blae a 1/16” after every pass

The legs lifting the box up, give it a majestic look. I agree with everyone else about the scroll saw and excellent inlay.
