Alder cane with carved strap. Strap is meant to look like it is holding the handle in place. This cane is for sale. PM me if you are interested. There are a lot more pictures in the slideshow below.
As always I welcome constructive criticism, positive or negative.

Nicely done, Keith. Did you use stain to augment the depth of your relief carving? It look very nice. Hope you make a big sale.

Well done. What is the length of the cane? And is the tip protected with a brass cap or is it natural? There will be a test so be prepared! :) Those pieces of info might help you make a sale.

Best wishes.

The strap idea is nicely done, as is presenting it in a slide show, which is a great way to show it off. Very clever.

Hi Keith

Great looking cane. You did a beautiful job on this piece as always. When did you change you picture? Now I know why I thought I had not seen you on here for awhile. Thanks for posting.

God Bless
tom

Tom, My GF wants me to change my picture back. Thinks the picture looks to much like me and prefers my identity stay unknown. LOL
Jack, I figured I’d throw a couple of canes in the mix just because. But, I don’t really plan on making anymore unless they are asked for.
Douglas, I did highlight the strapping to give it a “shadow”.
There is no tips on either of my canes yet. I need to order a few to finish the canes. Karson has sent me some info on where to find the hardware and I thank him for that.
Thanks for the comments guys. It is appreciated.

Funny, that’s what I thought when I made a couple of canes. Rockler has some cool tips I just found out. Like on my last project. Come in different sizes. Nice rubber foot, screws off to reveal the spike tip. Would be good for a number of situations…........ Really like the strap craving. Great color on the handle…....

That is really cool! Did you turn the rough?

The strap is a really nice touch, and very well done. The shading really makes it look authentic.

Again, fantastic job!

Now that’s even more impressive!! The handle is exquisite, yet poses some unique problems when turning. Wow.
