We have a little one turning 3 this week and he insists that he wants a pop-gun for his present. We saw some at the local sporting goods store in the kids section but a trip back to purchase one found them gone! Gasp! What to do?

Dad and his power tools to the rescue!!!

These things are pretty simple so I headed out the the shop. This is what about 1.5-2 hrs produced,a nice little POPgun for a cute, soon to be three year old little boy! Sorry no pictures of the little boy with the gun. His birthday hasn’t arrived just yet! ha ha. (Picture to came later)

Thanks for checking this out!

You can’t find such in a store. I bet there will be war games everywhere.

You should put an orange tip on it. In today’s environment you would not want someone to mistake it as real. Nice looking pop gun.

Way to go, Dad. It looks like a nice popgun.

Great job sure to be a hit! You will score big points for many years to come on that one. Get ready his friends will need one too!

Nice Job – - is the barrel white PVC pipe painted black? Or did you use something else?

Thanks everyone for the comments! Tomorrow is the b-day and I can’t to see him with it! I’ll post a pic or two when he gets it.

DrDirt = I used some schedule 40 PVC conduit that I had left over from some other project. It’s 1/2” inside diameter and I used a circle of leather from an old belt to make the seal. It’s a real wine bottle cork at the muzzle that I had to bum from my neighbors since I don’t drink. It pops really loud too! Louder than I would have thought anyway.
