Oopsie!!! yep thats what this little table is called. So there i was making a shoe rack and ah crap not paying attention i made one of dado’s on the wrong side. So now i had to scrap one piece. Well that one piece was kicking around a couple weeks in the scrap/burn pile begging to be repurposed. So i grabbed another piece and cut it to the same dimensions, then started with the one that i originally screwed up on, ran it over the table saw reducing the thickness to half, the repeated the process for the other half. glued them up, found some scrap wood for the legs and voila the oopsie table is born.

Very good recovery. A good part of woodworking is how we react to mistakes. I make them all the time and have to get creative how to hide them or remake a part. You did great here!!

You are right Jim Jakosh, a good part of woodworking is we react to our mistakes, It also separates a good craftsman from a half asser. I took what I had and came up with a viable solution.

Have your say...
