Hall Tree
The hall tree was made with cherry, bloodwood, and some plugs of mirado wood. The back of the seat was cut into wedges and joined together with biscuits. All other joints were mortises and tendons. The finished work was given two coats of boiled linseed oil, 15 coats of shellac, then sequentially sanded from 220, 400, 600, 800, 1500 grid sandpaper followed by 0000 steel wool. This was then polished with paste wax.

I love the contrast & design. Looks like something I would build being a big fan of flashy contrast.
