This is my first project posting to Lumberjocks!
This box was really fun to build. I didn’t do any drawings or SketchUp prior to the build. I bought the main board about two years ago because I loved the grain. For this project I just grabbed it off the shelf, started cutting, and let the design kind of dictate itself. I think it came out looking somewhat Greene and Greene(ish). The box sides and handle are made from granadillo with ebony accents and the top is curly maple.

My fiancé and I are getting married in two weeks. She asked me to build this box that we will use in the ceremony. Our family is going to write us letters that we will lock in the box to be read on our future anniversaries.

This is a beautiful box and very fitting to be used in your wedding. What ya’ll are doing on your wedding with the box sounds like a wonderful idea. Congratulations and welcome to Lumberjocks.
