My good friend built a tube guitar amplifier from a kit from Allen Amplification and asked if we could build a nice wooden cabinet to fit the amplifier and two speakers.
I had cut some planks from a locally harvested walnut log about ten years ago. The planks sat unused, waiting for the right project.
The cabinet was built using half-blind dovetails. The inlays are holly and ebony. The plywood baffle board was covered with caning. Handle is leather.
Nerve damage from surgery has kept me out of the shop for about 6 months; body and mind now healing nicely.
Great way to spend time with a friend.
The amplifier’s sound is awesome!

Nice looking cabinet. I know your friend will really appreciate it.

I like this a lot. In fact, I may look into building one for myself.
