Xylophone for the lil boy. Made from walnut, assembled w/ glue and dowels to reinforce. The hardest part was getting it to sound decent and have some resonance. Tried everything from screws only, to straws as some suggest, to rubber washers and felt, just rubber washers, the best sounding result was with felt strips and the keys snug but not tight. Let me know if anyone has had better success with other techniques for sound quality. Mallets made from dowels and 1 inch balls.

I bet the lil boy loves it! I know he’ll have a lot of fun with it.
