Here is a Inlay / Marquetry DragonFly I did last week while on vacation.

Woods used are;

Frame; Walnut Pallet wood

Body; Honey Locust crotch cut ( saw4fun hard wood shorts )

Wings; Poplar Pallet wood ( the lavender higlights in the wood did not show up good in the pictures )

Wings and Eyes; Acrylic pen turning blanks. ( Love the way the eyes and wings glow with light behind this )

Background is more of same unknown board that was used on my first inlay rose

Think I should have used a lighter or darker wood for background. This is too close to the color of wings after putting on the hand wipe poly.

All comments and crtiques are encouraged. Please be honest.

Thank You for looking
