I made this box for a friends birthday. It’s is designed to hold a ceramic Santa statue that she has. The oak base was a last minute addition, that I was not so sure about. The box looked kind of plain with out some kind of base, but was a little concerned about the the added contrast of the base in oak. However, I finally decided to go ahead with it. And I’m glad I did

Very nice box. Love the contrasting woods.
Also love the mitered keys in the corners. Have done keys a couple of times but never seen mitered ones before.
Very nice.

This is a good looking box. The keys add a nice visual interest to the project as well. You chose a nice design and good choice of woods as well.
