I built this bench ten years or so ago for my father as a gift. The design came from a plan I had purchased and I ended up building 3 of these. I need to take more pics and as soon as I do I will add them to the project. After building these I realized I didn’t really like building from plans and haven’t done it since. It is solid ash with mortise and tenons to join the top to the feet, other than that it is mostly dadoed, screwed and glued.

Very nice Christopher, The Ash is beautiful wood.
I’m kind of like you, if I do have a plan, I usually modify it to my liking.
