I don’t often get time to be in the shop on Saturdays but when I do I often take a break and make a toy for the kids if they want something. anything to spend some time with the boys!

I cranked out this DROID Fighter and X wing fighter in just a couple of hours.

The droid fighter is turned from hard maple and the centerpiece is brich plywood. the X wing fighter is pine and birch plywood.

Thanks for looking!

Your son’s expression says it all. Very well done.

You should bandsaw out that boy a couple of wooden teeth Maur. Or maybe just one big one jarjar binks style. Love that starwars stuff. I need to invest in the trilogy and get my little guy on that asap.

Good stuff. Looks like more than a couple of hours worth of work. You going to let them paint them?

Thanks fellas.

Wooden teeth… LOL that would be sweet! Lol

Shane, the 7yr old likes natural wood. :-) The 5yr old has already grafiti’ed all over it with crayons and sharpies. He is more of the expressive type. He always colors his stuff.

Now you need to take them to the Dragoncon Parade in August in Atlanta with their new toys.

The looks on the boys faces are priceless. Big Star Wars fan too. Cool project.
