Youngest son and his wife wanted me to make an end table to match two existing tables in their family room, they no longer could find a third matching table. I took a few measurements and a few photos with my cell phone when we were up in Cincinnati visiting in early March and I delivered the table last week. Table is 22”x26” x 24” high. The legs are 2” square and tapered on the inside. Material is poplar with General Finishes black stain. (See entertainment cabinet previuously posted). I made the lattace with half lap joints. The skill builder for me is that I seem to build projects with a set of plans, or measured drawings. This was a very rough sketch, eye ball for proportion, and rally enjoyed the process. Thanks for looking. Rick

Great job. You need to post the pictures of the originals.

Hey Rick
Looks great nice attention to details . It’s lots of fun to replicate furniture, many times my customers just have photos and no idea what the measurements are, so we have to wing it.

great project.. i’ve always suggested to anyone that a self design is easier.. yours turned out great
i’ve never built from plans.. back when i started i didn’t know of a way to get plans.. after building off the cuff, plans are a sugestion at best

Nice table, Rick. It has some antique Chinese design elements to it. Like Jim said, most of the time people come to you with just a photo and hold their arms out for the measurements. Thanks for the post.

Looks nice. I bet they really appreciate your ability to match their other tables.

Thanks Dustmite, I enjoyed building it, and the kids loved it, that’s what counts :)
