B-day present for my daughter. Used an old falling apart electric sharpener, threw away everything except the motor, and build a skeleton and frame.

Used birch and bloodwood on sides. The top was walnut/maple/mahogany/maple/mahogany/maple/walnut. Front and back was curly maple.

That has to be the most upscale pencil sharpener ever. Very nicely done.

I would say your daughter has already sharpened a couple of boxes of pencils.
