Lois Ventura called this design “Mollusk2” in her second bandsawing book. I think it looks like a comma so that’s how I refer to it.
This little box (6” wide, 3 1/2” tall, and 4” deep) is made of Narra. The board was cut and laminated into a large block. Different pieces are cut off and later reassembled, resulting in the band saw box.
Narra has a very nice chatoyant glow to it. The drawer is broken up into two sections and is lined with brown flocking. The pull is a pewter piece with an almost fleur de lis pattern that I picked up at the local home center.

This is a nice looking box. I have never read any of Lois’ books but will have to get a copy as I like the designs that I have seen.
