I have been thinking about this project for some time as a part of my table saw station build which is so far from done that I will have to blog it so I can laugh at myself. I am on a tight budget so I collect scraps and fabricate as I go. This means that I often have to be creative with my solutions. The extension top is an old laminated table that i cut up for the purpose and edge banded with some milled pallet runners. I epoxied the bolts in which hold it to the cast iron top.
The sacrificial table saw fence design is a big part of this build since the macro adjustment of the router fence is my Vega fence on the table saw. I also designed it to add panel raising and Tenon jigs to the saw later and to use the incra’s adjustability with the saw add well. This also means that in addition to the 1/32 adjustment of the incra jig I also have the infinite micro adjustment of my Vega thumbwheel.
Later i will add t- track and locking knobs to either end of the fence… I can add pics later if anyone’s interested. Btw… Rockler had the incra on sale… Only way it fit my budget.
