My sister-in-law loves Mary Poppins. My wife found these dolls awhile ago and asked me if I would build a display case for them to give as a gift. Of course I said yes as a happy wife makes for a happy life :) It was a simple design and only took a few hours to build and finish. I used California Red Oak for the project, stained it Early American and finished it with clear lacquer. My wife copied a picture off the internet, enlarged it and had it printed at Walmart. She cut it to size and spray glued it to the back. I think this made for a nice background. The dolls are mounted on doll stands which I inset into the bottom with a Forstner bit and secured with 2 part epoxy. I think her sister will enjoy the gift.
