Flip top workstation

In an attempt to organize and utilize space better, I began building two flip top workstations. This is the first, we’ll see if I have enough scrap for a second. Halfway through this project it was forcibly impressed upon me that I absolutely must get rid of “stuff” in my shop. I couldn’t find space to put this while cutting out more parts!
This morning I moved a pile of “stuff” out of the shop, and mounted two of my floor bound machines to it. Only two more to go…
It’s just banged together out of scrap, and kinda rough – I finally bought a plywood blade and a guide clamp for my skilsaw, so maybe the next one will prove to be a bit more square and have less tearout.
Anyway I’m finally tackling shop organization and hope to finish at least five more before the year is out.

Yes- never enough room in the shop or enough tools.

Nice work.

Very nice space saver. Looks too beautiful for the job.

This looks just fine and gives you a double on the floor space required .and you don’t have to lift the machines anymore .
What is the next stand for ?
I used an old BBQ stand for something like this and like it a lot as all my sanding and grinding tools are on one stand now which is great for dust collection also .
