The plan for this clock was in a magazine a few years ago and built it a couple months ago. Boy I had to knock the dust off of this plan. I found some wood from a catalpa tree (the one with the good fishing worms) let it dry for a year and used it for the body of the clock. It is trimmed in walnut. First project using hand planes to joint and flatten the wood. It was a little bit of work but I learned a lot. It is a good place to stash she money, you know, money she don’t know about.

Nice job Marc. I made one of these from Ash and Walnut for a friend who hides his Hershey Kisses in it, but when I visit him, I know just where to go. LOL. Thanks for sharing.
