After a long winter spent healing from a shattered pelvis and broken back, I decided to make a thank you gift for the surgeon who put me back together again. I wanted something original, something a busy and highly skilled doctor would not have. How about a large, heavy block of wood cut into the shape of a pelvis? He got a kick out of it, as did his staff.
It was made from recycled, locally cut maple and oak. Measures approx. 10 3/8” wide X 7 1/2” tall X 5 1/4” deep. It was very heavy, but I did not weigh it. Thanks, Scott.
